INDEPENDENT HOMEOWNER INFORMATION
How Small Town Home Services Works
The website supports preparation and calls. Browsing a service guide, creating a brief, calling the referral line and booking a contractor are four different actions.
1. Read about the problem
Browse a service category or problem guide. Look for safe observations, warning signs and questions to ask. The articles are educational, not a remote diagnosis.
2. Prepare a project brief
Select a category, enter the property's US ZIP code, describe safely observed issues and choose a preferred timeframe. The generated summary remains in your browser tab until you decide to copy or otherwise share it.
The ZIP code is included in the brief only; it does not establish service coverage or assign a contractor.
3. Decide whether to make contact
Call the number on the page to be connected with a local provider; calls may be recorded and may be routed to an independent local service provider. Online callback requests are not currently offered; to reach a provider, call the number.
4. Independently confirm any provider
Before agreeing to work, verify trade qualifications, geographic coverage, diagnostic/visit fees, materials, availability, insurance as applicable, warranties and change-order terms. The provider is responsible for their own estimate and contract.
