INDEPENDENT HOMEOWNER INFORMATION
How This Referral Service Works and How We Are Paid
Small Town Home Services is a referral phone line and a set of homeowner guides for Indiana County and Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. This page explains, in plain terms, what happens when you call, who you end up talking to, and how the site earns money.
What happens when you call
Every call button on the site dials the same referral number. Calls may be recorded and may be routed to an independent local service provider through a call-routing network. The provider you reach is a separate business that works in your area and handles the kind of problem you describe.
The provider will usually ask whether you own the home or can approve repairs, the property's ZIP code and what is happening right now. They confirm whether they can help, when they could come and what they charge. If no participating provider covers your area or problem, the call may not connect to anyone, and you should contact a local company directly.
How the site is paid
We may be paid by service providers or by the call networks that route calls to them when a call is connected and meets that network's rules, for example a minimum call length or an appointment being booked. That payment comes from the provider side of the call.
Because of how routing works, the provider you reach depends on who participates in your area and is available at that moment. We do not rank or endorse individual companies, and being connected through this line is not a recommendation of a particular provider's work.
What you agree to, and with whom
Any estimate, contract, schedule and payment for repair work is between you and the provider. Ask for the diagnosis and estimate in writing before work begins, and for home improvement work in Pennsylvania, check the contractor's registration number on the Attorney General's contractor search.
You can hang up at any point and are never obliged to hire the provider you are connected with.
What we never do
We do not perform repairs, employ technicians or claim licenses, certifications, reviews or ratings we do not have. We do not promise arrival times, round-the-clock availability or guaranteed results, and we do not use fake urgency.
We do not sell your personal information for unrelated marketing. The guides are written to help you stay safe and ask good questions, with sources listed on each page. In an emergency involving fire, gas, carbon monoxide or downed wires, call 911 first.
